    Our mission: to work with all relevant tourism stakeholders in the establishment of a regional communication platform, to develop and implement holistic approaches that specifically addresses poverty reduction through tourism. Key to delivering on our mission will be the development of innovative continuous professional development programmes that overcome the fundamental barriers of employability and entrepreneurship in East-Africa.

Education Partnerships in Africa (EPA) is funded by the Department for Business Innovations and Skills and managed by the British Council. EPA facilitates partnerships between English higher education institutions and sub-Saharan African universities which build institutional capacity with the aim of delivering employability skills in collaboration with public, private and social enterprises.

EPA is an 18 month programme which is investing £4.5 million in 72 partnership projects until March 2011.
